About the Owen County Farmers Market

The Community Farmers' Market of Owen County was began in 2008 and renamed to Owen County Farmers Market in 2012. Our goal is to provide local producers and their neighbors a gathering place that fosters the connection between our food, our culture, our land, and our environment.

The Market is governed by a Board Member Committee and the Market Season is overseen by a Market Master. Vendor items include produce, meat, baked goods, eggs, jams, garden plants, flowers, dog treats, and artisan crafts. The OCMF offers refreshments through the Market Cafe. The funds collected through the Market Cafe help support expenses that occur during the market season.

The Market offers entertainment starting at 10am during market days when available. Also when available they are workshops on a variety of topics hosted by volunteers during the market hours.

The Owen County Farmers Market has something for everyone, so we hope you will come on by for a visit!

Meet Our Market Master

The Market reached a milestone in 2011 with it's first paid employee. We were very excited to have hired Leslie Burns of Bloomington to serve as Market Master in 2011! Leslie brings a diverse background as well as much enthusiasm and energy to the Market and is eager to help the Market grow.

We are excited that Leslie will be joining us as Market Master again in 2012. In additional to helping things run smoothly on Saturdays during the market, Leslie, is our contact for scheduling the LIVE entertainment for during the market.
